Why do people watch TV Game Shows? - To be used throughout exam

  • Many shows rely on audiences playing along with the game. 
  • Viewers willing contestants on.  
  • Quizzes and puzzles encourage audience engagement. 
  • Often ad break quizzes are included.  
  • Action sub-genre gameshows encourage audiences to support a specific contestant or team so they become invested in the result of the game. 
  • Dating sub-genre gameshows allow audiences to judge or critique contestants encouraging social interaction.
